The judges felt that I was a hugely positive influence, who uses my own experience to overcome challenges and create positive action. From mentoring to holding workshops with young people to supporting the various DE&I characteristics — they thought the scale and number of areas my work impacts were very impressive, and that I went above and beyond to help others and generate real social impact.

Role Modelling & Advocacy Award
Through my mentoring work and affiliations with a variety of organisations whether it be supporting young people, women, black professionals and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds, I was acknowledged as a role-model in fostering a culture of belonging and equity. I was recognised as someone who has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, role-modelling and advocacy in advancing diversity and inclusion within my organisation and wider in the industry.
Bridging Barriers | Turning Point Programme 2025
Outstanding Mentor Recognition
The aim of the programme is to empower young people from diverse backgrounds with the skills and mindset to gain confidence, and to navigate their future careers and aspirations. I had the pleasure of mentoring Florence, Jenny and Ruben all at varying stages of their journey, from looking for gap year opportunities and graduate placements, to starting their fledgling careers and trying to establish themselves in the workplace. The recognition came directly from them, as they wanted to acknowledge the impact and connection we’d built together.
